Accessibility Statement

Brant Hickey & Associates Orlando works with people who have been injured. A website that is hard to use would be a contradiction of what this firm does, so we treat accessibility as a requirement of the build rather than a finishing touch.

What we are aiming for

This site targets WCAG 2.2 Level AA, all success criteria.

Where we currently stand

We believe this site conforms to WCAG 2.2 Level AA.

That is based on two things: every page passes automated testing against the standard on every release, and a person has reviewed the site using a screen reader and confirmed it works.

One limitation we know about:

  • Documents linked from this site, such as PDFs sent during a case, are not covered by this statement. If you need a document in a different format, please ask and we will provide one.

What we do to keep it accessible

  • Every change to this site is checked automatically before it can go live. If a check fails, the change does not publish. The checks cover WCAG 2.2 AA using two independent testing engines, keyboard operation, colour contrast measured against the real images, HTML validity, and text spacing.
  • Colour contrast is measured in code, including text over photographs, rather than judged by eye.
  • Every page is operable using a keyboard alone, and we test that automatically.
  • A person reviews the site with a screen reader; the most recent review was completed on 15 August 2026.
  • All forms work without JavaScript.
  • We do not use an accessibility overlay. Products such as accessiBe, UserWay, and AudioEye do not create conformance, frequently interfere with the assistive technology people already use, and have themselves been the subject of complaints. We fix the underlying site instead.

Tested with

  • Screen readers: NVDA on Windows, VoiceOver on macOS and iOS
  • Browsers: Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge, current versions
  • Other: keyboard-only operation, 400% browser zoom, and Windows High Contrast Mode

Telling us about a problem

If any part of this site is difficult to use, please tell us. You do not need to know why it is a problem or use any particular terminology — just describe what happened.

We aim to respond within two business days, and we will tell you what we are doing about it and when to expect a fix.
